Wow. The last few weeks have been amazing and the coming weeks look equally packed with energizing activity. First up, Ian and I are getting excited to bring our traveling road show to Norwescon 34, April 22-24. Among the autographed copies of Project Manhattan, the Project London Graphic Novel and other stuff like the new Trailer by Soren Laulainen and Paul Miller, our buddy, KryptonHeidt, is creating a Lego Arizona for us to display at the show. Check out the photo (above)! We think this is pretty dang cool!
We are also pushing hard to get a press release out for the books, which by the way, SOLD OUT of the exclusive printing done for the Emerald City Comicon with hardly any promotion. Amazing. I want to give a shout out to Ken Jager for the work he is doing on the PR side of things, "Ken you are brilliant and we appreciate your efforts to expand the Project London Universe!" The quote marks are there because it's a quote. I'm actually saying those words when you read them. I also want to give kudos to Lori Wheeler and Christine Urban. Both of these ladies did some amazing work to prepare the books for publication. Then they took it a step further by writing a short (Lori) and long (Christine) synopsis of Project Manhattan that we can include with the press release. Many, many thanks.
Last and certainly not least, I want to acknowledge one of our own making some headway in this world. Mike McCoy, who you may remember as "Slate Boy" during production, graduated from high school and started college studies in film last fall. He recently entered and won the First Annual Smart Spot Film Contest with his commercial, "Nice Car."Check it out!
While I've been writing this post, I've been updloading thousands of SFX cues from the Spiral Sound Effects Library to the "cloud" for the Sound Design Team. This team is going gang busters right now and it is very, very exciting. Ian, Nate and I are looking forward to listening to and watching Reel 1 next Saturday!
